How will we meet?
We’ll meet online. You will receive a secure HIPAA-compliant link to access our session and documentation.
What are your hours?

My hours are flexible. You can schedule sessions between 10 am and 8 pm throughout the week.

My calendar is open to you, so you can conveniently schedule sessions that suit your schedule.

How long are sessions?
Sessions last 50 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
No, I do not take insurance.
With whom do you work?
I work with teens, men, women, and couples (ages 13-60+)
How do I get started?

Do you assign homework?
It depends on your treatment plan, which is unique to you. If we agree it will benefit you, I can give you “homework” to do between sessions.
How quickly can I expect to be healed?
It depends on the depth of the wounds!
What type of training do you have?

I have been practicing mental health counseling for over 25 years, with continuing education in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Play Therapy.

I also regularly attend workshops and trainings to learn new techniques to help my clients struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma.

Do you provide clinical supervision to residents?
Yes, I am an approved supervisor on the registry in Virginia.
What is your favorite activity to do with your grandchildren?
Painting rocks! We enjoy creating beautiful art and finding peace of mind.
Where have you traveled that was the most interesting?
Alaska – on a cruise ship. The snowcapped mountains, the whales, the beautiful bright nature… it was wonderful!
Is “walk and talk” therapy available?
Yes, absolutely. We can have our virtual session while you enjoy the outdoors! Just make sure you can stay connected!
Can my dog sit in on the sessions with me?
Yes, it is preferred! We want you to feel safe.
